Flexiblity

Question
Hi Stanley.  I am a beginner golfer (2yrs).  I usually score about 100-105.  I have a question on how to increase my swing speed (75-80 mph) and increase my flexibility. Note I need exercises that do not do too much knee activity since I have a bad knee.
Thanks in Advance.

Answer
hm.....  lets see.....  there are a LOT of GREAT, EASY ways to improve your swing speed without having to use your knees.  every time you go to the range...  grab two irons.  (a 9-irona and an 8-iron)  take practice swings with both clubs in your hand.  swing this way for about about 10 times...  now grab a single club and take a swing.  see how that feels.  you have just improved your swing speed to about 90 to 95 miles per hour.  the club will feel so light that you will feel like you are swinging a feather.  a bad thing about this excecise is that it improves your swing speed too rapidly.  to the point where you can't control your swing anymore.  but it is a nice way to see immediate results.

if you would like to improve your flexibility..  then i recommend that you go to the fitness section of the allexperts and look for experts that specilizes in flexibility.  lucky for you!!!!!  there is actually a lady who is a golf fitness trainer!!!!!! she will give you all the info and fitness tips that you need to improve your flexiblity.  let me give you the link to her profile...  you can ask her the question there...  her name is lynda lippin.
