changing shafts

Question
can you replace steel shafts with graphite ?

Answer
Hello,

Thanks for the question. The clubhead is weighted depending on what shaft is going to be used. If you replace a steel shaft with graphite it will effect the swingweight and the club will not be at it's optimum level. However if you take it to a real expert at club repair they may be able to change it for you to get the proper balance point of the club. However it is usually cheaper to sell the existing club(s) with the steel shaft and go and buy a graphite set.

I hope this helps,

kind regards.
