Question
Hi, can you recommend some good quality socks for me.  Presently I use cotton and my feet are always cold.  Maybe some type of wool?

Answer
Hey B,

Go to a ski shop or similar (REI, Big 5, etc.) and check out ski specific socks. You want something that has wicking abilities to help keep your feet dry. Dry feet will stay warmer. Also look for a fairly high wool content for warmth. Higher wool content may be a bit thicker so check the fit of your boots for the amount of thickness you can go with. The wool will help keep your feet warmer but make sure they are wicking type socks for DRY feet. You may see prices anywhere from $10-30 for a pair but don't be afraid to spend extra for quality. They will last many seasons and are well worth the money spent. Be sure you get a good fit for best comfort. Good luck shopping and I hope your feet stay warm.
