Question
I just bought a board, and I'm worried that it's too narrow. it's an Option Vega 142, and I wear an 8.5 boot. I think it's about 23.5 cm wide at the waist. would you recommend changing boards?

Answer
hi Robin,

I think if your stance angles are out enough it shouldn't be a problem.  put your board down on the carpet and put your boots on it at the angle you think you'll use.  If your toe or heel sticks out more than half an inch you might think about getting a wider board b/c on carves your toes or heels could catch and make you lose an edge.  Especially dangerous if you're hitting jumps.  Another solution that would make it so you wouldn't have to get a new board would be to buy binding risers by Palmer or Burton makes a "gas pedal" that holds your toes high so they don't hit the snow on sharp carves.

Hope this helps, have fun,

Ben
