Freeride on freestyle?

2016/7/22 11:38:12

Question
I'm new to snowboarding, told the sales guy i was looking for a good all mountain board to learn on and he sold me a '09 burton blunt.  Got a descent deal ($160), but got home and immediately found out that he sold me a freestyle board.  Should I keep it?

Answer
Brent,

There's really not much difference.  If you got a freestyle board and it is flexible, and the right size for you, you will be the best off for learning all around.  You probably wouldn't be able to tell the difference between them anyway until you get more experience on the hill.

Enjoy,
Ben
