places to ski

Where could i go from chicago to ski during the month of february, of course money is somewhat an issue. Thank You

it depends on how far you want to drive. i worked in the upper peninsula of michigan and had alot of people from chicago come up there for skiing. Big Powderhorn Mtn. www.bigpowderhorn.net   it has long trials and a good vertical plus you can get ski in-ski out accomodations.
or Rib Mountain is in Wausau, WI. Tyrol Basin or Cascade located close to Madison, WI. But if you are looking for lots of snow take a trip up to the UP of Michigan. There receive quite a bit of snow. plus the motel-hotels in Ironwood, MI offer a deal where you can visit all three resorts with one ticket, and have cheap rates.
