International Divers

Question
Hi, my daughter is a 16 year old Australian Diver.  She is very keen to apply for a place at an American University when she finishes school.  I have no doubt that she could meet the requirements for entry into a good university with a good diving programme, but I just cant afford the fees.  Platform diving is her favourite, and I believe that is only competed in Division I colleges?  A lot of these seem to be public and dont offer a lot of scholarship money?  Can you suggest any colleges that would offer aid to an international diver?  Thanks so much.  Louise

I can help you better with your question when you give me a little more information. I need to know the year she is in school right now and the month and year that she will graduate from high school. Tell me her list of dives (just optionals because that is all divers compete in college) for 1 meter, 3 meter and platform with the platform heights she uses. In college, dives can be done from any platform height. And yes, Division I is the only level that has platform events.
There is a mix of both public and private schools and yes they do offer scholarship money but the amount can vary from year to year.

Ask a follow up question with this info and I will happy to help you out.
