teaching videos

Question
Are there any free online instructional videos on teaching beggining divers?

Answer
Ben -

I have heard that if you go to YouTube.com and type in "Diving" that you can navigate your way to finding an instructional video by the coach from the University of Indiana, Jeff Huber.

You can also go to www.usadiving.org. At the top of the page, click on Store and then Educational Materials. There you will find some very inexpensive videos and cd roms about diving for all levels. While at this website, click on the link for upcoming diving clinics that may be close to your home. They are either free or reasonably priced.

At Amazon.com, type in Ron O'Brien's name and look for his book, Diving For Gold. I saw it was available for $2.00. Great book for learning the fundamentals of diving.

Other than that, try going to www.diving.about.com and look up articles on beginning diving. Send an e-mail to Woody Franklin and maybe he knows of some free ones.

I personally have not heard of many free instructional videos on the internet.Only inexpensive ones.

Other websites about diving include:

www.flipnrip.com
www.aaudiving.org
www.springboardsandmore.com
www.divemeets.com
www.usadiver.com
www.laurawilkinson.com
www.mastersdiving.org

Good luck in your search.
