4-year-old son got pushed at pool

Question
I took my 4-year old son (just turned 4) for his first swimming lesson without me in the water the other day. He was very excited and so was I because it's important that he learns how to swim because we have a pool. Another child pushed him while they were all sitting on the steps in the pool and he went under. They got him out and tried to calm him down but he wouldn't get back in. We had to leave - he even got himself dressed. My intention is not to get my money back it's to get him back in the water. We won't open our pool until it gets warmer. He is adamant that he sinks and he doesn't know how to swim. I try to explain that they will teach him like they teach in preschool but he just cries and says he doesn't want to swim. My heart breaks when he says " Daddy I just want to swim with you." Can I get him to take another lesson? ...any suggestions?

Answer
Can you talk to the teacher and ask if Daddy can get in the pool for 1 lesson? (accidents happen although very sad). Unfortunately I realize that he is now scared but over time that will resolved it's self. I wish I had a better answer but yes I would try to get him to try it again. Good Luck!
