Wrestling moves

Question
QUESTION: My name is Hunter and I have been wrestling for 4 years now and I was
wondering about some more advanced moves. I am a freshman in highschool
and I just want to get better. So i need some more advanced moves but not
really advanced cause I am not that good yet.

ANSWER: Hello Hunter, this is my core belief. I believe that people must learn the moves physically. I can not tell you exactly how to do a move because I am not there to correct you and if they are high risk moves, then if you screw up in practice, you screw up in a match and then the move is useless. I suggest approaching your coach for some additional training or you can join a wrestling club. Wrestling clubs give you a wrestling coach with your own lessons. Then they take you to tournaments so that you can gain experience. This is what I would suggest. Good luck.

QUESTION: I understand that you can't really help me do them. But I was wondering if you
could just tell me some of the names that are helpful when wrestling someone
really good. Like a state qualifier, cause I have to wrestle them a lot. And then I
could approach my coach and ask him to show me it step by step. Also, I'm
having HUGE troubles getting off the bottom. Any hints?

Answer
Well if you are a lightweight I would recommend the sit up, turn in, sit up turn out, sit up turn in and so forth. This move is a fast little move that I use a lot and people just don't really know how to respond to it. You have to be really fast though. Another bottom move is the Grammy roll but again, it's a lightweight move and you have to execute it right otherwise you'd get screwed.

As for other advance moves, I like the cement job which is a pretty good defense move if someone takes a shot on you. The cement roll itself is a move complex move but still just as effective. A simple move that takes a lot of state qualifiers by surprise is the dart on the whistle. A lot of kids just don't expect it but it's very effective as long as you can finish it up with something. Cradles are nice and I like leg moves. If you can learn to stick a leg in, you can control your opponent pretty well if you are in the top position. So just ask about any leg moves you can put in if you are on top. I hope those moves help you.
