Question
Hi, i'm from india and i want to go to japan to learn wrestling....but i've searched on the internet for contacts of some of the wrestling schools and i dont know how to contact them , can you please help with some links ????........ and if i want to compete in the UFC then where should i train ??? and lastly my age is 24 so am i too old to learn wrestling and be successfull in it ???

Answer
They are very hard to find, I know this for a fact. Usually you have to check contact areas on multiple websites to find Japanese wrestling school information. They never seem to put that on their website, but put contact info you can reach them at. So, if you look on a website and see that, make sure to click on it.

Dragon's Gate- I found the USA link to this, because I am in the US. But they have contact pages where you'll be able to contact the Japanese and USA versions.

Pro Wrestling Zero1- This is like the Dragon's Gate page. The contact info is for both versions, USA and Japan.

Also, I am not an MMA expert, so I couldn't tell you where to go to get noticed by UFC. But Japan has some areas where they teach MMA. Here is a list made on JapanMMA.com

This guy is pretty accurate with picks here. I know from personal experience that Japan is obviously a great technical area for Pro-Wrestling, as they teach a technical skill known as Japanese Strong Style.

But they incorporate MMA in their style, so, if you learn MMA here chances are that learning Pro-Wrestling some after isn't a big deal. Although MMA is real while wrestling is planned out.

24 is not late at all. In fact, many wrestlers have been known to start this late. MVP started at around 28, Batista started near 30, and John Cena started around 24/25. All were WWE names and won titles there, obviously Cena is still the top guy in WWE.

In MMA, I've seen guys start late too. Brock Lesnar anyone? MMA guys have been known to start mid-20s usually. Wrestlers do start earlier, but at 24, you've got a lot of time. Just steer clear of smoking, drinking a lot, and drugs and you'll be fine.

Obviously this is something many say anyway right? Thing is there is a reason why this is the older you get the more those things kill your body. Drinking can cause multiple issues like brain cell issues, stomach issues, liver damage, etc. While smoking can cause lung issues, brain cell damage, throat damage, etc. And drugs, well, do I need to go into that one man?

All of these things I said above are key to a wrestler and his/her success. Without even one of these things functioning to the best it can be, failure is bound to be there.

Make sure to work out a lot, and get real fit before going. If you don't, those schools will eat you alive. Japan is known for having some of the toughest schools in the world, but they are also the best.
