Question
QUESTION: hey Joe long time no questions lol. this time my question is about the weights of the pro wrestlers specifically the wwe superstars back in the day and now. are all of the wwe superstars have billed weights and heights? i mean Shawn Michaels is my favorite wrestler and he said in an interview after he retired that he was 190 pounds and in another interview he sad 180 and he was billed as 225 lbs. Are all of the wrestlers have billed weights and heights i mean middle weight like Shawn Michaels and Chris Jericho heavy weights like batista and triple h and small guys like rey mysterio Evan bourne? i hope you answer this question soon. also who chooses the number the wreslters or the boses thanks

ANSWER: Well usually, the weight you hear announced or see billed is the legit pound. Sometimes if they are say, 215, the WWE or another company may want to bring them up 5 or 10 pounds for effect, but nothing major that you could tell is obviously untrue.

For example, a guy like Big Show was always billed at 500 lbs, but when he came back after a long absence, he was noticeably smaller. He was at 425. The WWE let him use that weight for a while, but then began billing him at 500 more and more, then they went to 490 and 450, etc. They really only wanted 500 because of his "largest athlete in the world" gimmick. Because at 7 foot, 500 lbs, he would legitimately be the largest athlete in the world.

Now in the case of Michaels, when he was younger he was around 225 or 215. In his older age, he began fluctuating from 180 to 200. So, WWE kept him around 215, because you then couldn't tell if he was 200 or 215. In his older age, you didn't really keep up with his weight really. It was only seen on WWE.com. That weight hasn't changed since he returned back in the early 2000s.

Now on occasions guys who are smaller like Jericho, Jeff Hardy, Michaels, even Edge were given extra weight so they wouldn't be considered Cruiserweights once they went after a World Title. Jericho was one when he won the Undisputed Title, but WWE billed him at 230 or so, so that he would be seen as bigger than he was. Jericho was really about 215 or 220 at the time.

Lets put it this way, unless you are an obvious small man to begin with, the WWE wants you in the 200s, preferably around 215 or up. The WWE pretty much makes anyone over 6'0 or 6'1 to do so. It's not too hard really to gain weight obviously, keeping at a certain weight or losing is hard.

QUESTION: oh i don't think so. i have a teacher that is freaking huge and i asked how much he weighs and he told me 200 lbs. i was shocked cuz that guy is huge and muscle not fat or anything. so when you compare him to michaels or Jericho or edge or Christian they are no where near him. Edge is billed as 245 right now and he has not muscle lol he is not even 200 same with Christian. these guys are billed way too much not less than 30 lbs or 20 lbs. Shawn michaels he said himself he was 190 Jericho was probably around that too same with Christian kofi Kingston dolph zigler and all these guys are like 180 to  190 at most 200 no more.it's not too hard to gain weight? muscle? yes it is lol it takes a long time. i am 145 lbs 5'5 15 years old it's hard to gain weight (muscle).

Answer
I have no doubt Michaels is around 190 now. He looks it really. Jericho has noticeably gained weight since his WWE return a few years ago. So, he probably is around 230. I'm around 170 personally, but of course I'm a bit tall, so, you can't tell I way as much as I do. If I got to 200, you may be able to tell. Muscle weighs more than fat too, so a guy like Ziggler or Morrison, who are both ripped, will be over 200 because of that. Edge was usually billed most of his career at 230. When he came back from injury in January, he was bigger then. He couldn't really work out as much as he'd of wanted to because of his foot. You can't run, can't do any power stuff other than bench presses, etc. So, that's why he gained so much and looked the way he did. No real excuse for the way he continues to look. To be fair, he has toned up some. Also, he is tall, around 6'6, so he could work at 260 or 270 if he wanted and look fine.

I will agree gaining weight is tough if you go for it in muscle. But just gaining it by eating or something is completely easy, even with a high metabolism. Do you want to know how to gain muscle?
