Title Belts

Question
How many title belts has the WWE gone through? For better clarification, how many different versions of the main belts have there been?

Answer
Dear Bre, thank you for your very interesting and unique question. Here is the answer that you requested. I will give you the history of the following titles: World Heavyweight,WWE Undisputed, I-C, and the tag team.

Since the 1960's and 70's when Vince McMahon SR. really started to become noticeable with his promotion, there have been several different variations of the main titles.
Their was the W.W.W.F.(World Wide Wrestling Federation) World Heavyweight Championship,
and
the W.W.W.F. Tag Team titles.
Then, when Vince JR. took over the company after his father passed away, he renamed it the "World Wrestling Federation." (W.W.F.)
He created the green strap World title that Hulk Hogan won win he defeated The Iron Sheik.
Then, their was the version of the title created for Andre The Giant, the "Winged Eagle" version of the title belt used throughout the early 1990's, which was then changed to the round eagle version. Following that, the round version was changed to the "Attitude Era" title held by such greats as "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, Triple H, and more. Then, the old W.C.W. title was used for a while, before being modified. In fact, the Heavyweight title used today in W.W.E. is very similar to the one used in W.C.W.
The W.W.E. title was introduced in 1963, and Buddy Rogers was recognized as the first W.W.E. champion. Once RAW and Smackdown became dominant brands of W.W.E., the company decided to create a title to recognize one champion amongst the brands. The W.W.E. Undisputed title was born. The first man to become Undisputed champion was Chris Jericho. That title was later changed to the current spinner belt version when John Cena became champion. Other temporary versions of the titles have been created to match the champion's gimmick. Once that champion lost the title, the title would be changed back to the normal belt.
The Intercontinental title was first won by Pat Patterson in a tournament in Rio De Janiero, Brazil. Several different version of the title have been used from classic titles, to special gimmick titles with colorful straps, to a classic Intercontinental title with a black strap, to the one being used today in the W.W.E.

The version of the W.W.E. Tag Team titles are as follows:
-The W.W.W.F. Tag Team Titles
-The 1980's Classic Tag Team titles
-The regular Tag Team Titles
-Also, each brand had their own Tag Team titles at one point in time, before the "Unified Tag Team" titles were introduced earlier this year.

Bre, I hope this question helped you. Please understand that your question was a difficult question to answer because their have been so many different versions in the past of the main titles used by the W.W.E. If you have any more questions for me, please don't hesitate to ask. As always, I will try to answer your question the best that I can. If I don not know the answer, I will try to research the answer.
Thank you, and have a blessed night.
