real life pro wrestling fueds

Question
Hi, there first of all i would like to say that i am really happy and glad by the way you answwer all our questions. Can you mention the real life fueds in pro wrestling and why they originated?

Answer
Hi Mike.  Thanks for the question.

I can name a few off the top of my head.  If there is one that I don't mention that you are wondering about, let me know.

Edge and Matt Hardy:  Basically, Matt was dating Lita, and during a time period that Matt was injured and off the road, Edge and Lita began traveling together.  They started an affair, and Matt found out about it after hearing a message on Lita's phone.  This real life situation was made into an angle on TV.

Booker T and Batista:  This all started when Batista started getting a big push and won his first title.  Batista apparently got a big head, and developed an attitude thinking he was above everybody else.  Booker thought he was disrespecting the other wrestlers, and they had a brawl.

Bret Hart and Vince McMahon:  Obviously the Montreal Screwjob.

Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels:  Before the Montreal Screwjob, Bret and Shawn were constantly bickering to each other, and got into legit fights.  Shawn, at one point on Raw, accused Bret of having an affair with WWE Diva sunny.  Bret said Shawn was gay, and faked injuries in order to avoid losing matches.

Ric Flair and Eric Bischoff:  This all started when Flair claims he requested, and was granted the night off from a Monday Nitro, in order to see his youngest son participate in a wrestling tournament.  Bischoff then went ahead and scheduled Flair anyway. Flair claims it was on very short notice.  Flair didn't show, and Bischoff either suspended or fired him.  Bischoff was losing control of the company at this point, and many believe he was using Flair as an example that he was still in charge.

Goldberg and Chris Jericho:  This started when Goldberg first came to WWE, and he started badmouthing Jericho, saying he was too small, and didn't sell for other wrestlers.  Jericho confronted him about it, and they got into a brawl, which Jericho reportedly got the better of.

Scott Steiner and Diamond Dallas Page:  Apparently, there were some drugs found in the lockerroom, and Page's wife, Kimberly, accused Tammy Sytch (aka Sunny) as being the owner.  Sytch flat out denied they were hers, and even took a drug test, which she passed.  Steiner found about Kimberly's accusations, and chased her out of the building.  She never appeared on TV again for WCW.  Dallas Page wasn't in the building that night, but he found out about it, and the next time he and Steiner were at the same event, they got into it.

Thanks again for the question.  Let me know if you have anything else.

Have a great day!

Dave
