was there really two kanes? what i mean specifically is, did the wwe/f have a kane then for some reason he was replaced with the kane we have today?

Answer
No, there was never two Kane's that played the character outside of storyline. When Kane changed from the mask, the WWE did a storyline later on where someone dressed up as the masked Kane and everyone thought the old Kane was back, which was not true. Luke Gallows actually played the character.

Then there was an angle where Undertaker dressed up like Kane too.

The Kane we see now was the same Kane we have seen playing the character all along though. But what is so weird is that he has gotten a bit bigger over the years and people see what he looked like before and think he is a totally different person, which is not true.
