Was that the incident that is now known as the infamous Montreal Screwjob?
Was this problem ever resolved? Did Bret ever bury the hatchet with Vince?

Yes it was.  I do not think that there was really any resolving to be done because what was done was done.  But in the mid- 2000's Brett did some engagements (non-wrestling and for the most part, off -air) for the WWE.  I do not know if you can really bury a hatchet with someone like McMahon, but they must be on some speaking terms.
