How to Kick Over from a Backbend to a Bridge & Split - A Step-by-Step Guide

To safely enter your backbend and proceed into a bridge there are couple key points to check before proceeding:

* Engage legs & feet firmly into the ground

* Pull through heels in your back extension

Then to start your bridge and begin to flip into your over split proceed through the following points:

* Kick one hip up off the mat.

* Once there kick both feet as if doing a leg split and use momentum created with kicking feet with arms up to come full circle into your split over bridge on the floor.

* Finish with palms flat and head looking towards shin or knees

Tips: Use momentum created with feet. Swing arms straight up instead of sideways to create better arch with bridge on top.
