What to pack for a camping trip?

2016/7/26 17:46:30

Many people go camping in their vacation because they want to relax in the nature. There are many ways to go camping, but there are some things that you should definitely take note of, before you go camping.
Here we want to share how to go on with planning a camping holiday and on which tools you cannot do without in a trip.

Planning a camping holiday right

First of course is important to clarify what is meant by a camping holiday. So for some people it is to spend the night in camping tents, others to be camping with their RV. Depending on which variant you choose, you have to consider few basic things. Also you should clarify whether you want to camp at a site or travel each day looking for a new opportunity. Especially with a camper, this second option is doable easily.
In general, first you have to look for a campsite or find a site that is suitable for camping. Usually you have to pay for access, generally these amounts are small and you get electricity and water included. In addition, many campsites have toilets and other amenities. So you should check before the starts of a camping trip enough to identify possible sites suitable for camping and if they have space.

What should not be forgotten to take with you?

Here we will restrict ourselves mainly to the utensils you need when you go camping with tents, as the situation with a caravan is usually easier.
First, you need of course a suitable stable tent supporting certain weather conditions. The facilities of the tent you should bring with you are: a rain fly, mattresses, pillows, and a sleeping bag for each person.

Enough food should be packed: canned food, a can opener, camping crockery and cutlery .Take a camping stove that works even without direct power supply. There should be enough water and garbage bags to dispose of the remnants.
What clothes you should take, depends on the prevailing weather conditions and the area. However, you should bring enough T-shirts, pants, underwear, socks, good shoes and a weatherproof jacket.
A kit containing toothbrush, toothpaste, shower gel, shampoo, comb and toilet paper should not be missed.
The enumerated things belong to the basic equipment, but one should not forget other things. For example a first aid kit is a must. Also, at least one person should have a mobile phone with you to call for help in an emergency.
Furthermore, it does not harm to have a map, a compass and also bug spray.

Of course, one does not have to be limited to these items and can also take more things, but mostly one wants as little baggage as possible, so this list is quite sufficient.
