How to Pack for Day Camp

Day camps are a great way to spend the summer for kids. With all the fun activities such as swimming, archery and horseback riding, it can be difficult to know what to pack.

Steps

  1. 1 Get a backpack or tote bag. You don't want anything too bulky, and it should be comfortable enough to carry around for a little bit, whilst still fitting in everything you need.
  2. 2 Make sure you have everything you need for the day. At most summer camps you will need a towel, sunscreen, a bathing suit or change of clothes, sandals and sneakers or sturdy shoes, sunglasses and a hat, and a water bottle.
  3. 3 Put everything neatly into the backpack so that it won't be too hard to take things out.
  4. 4 Do not forget the water bottle. Summer day camps can get very hot, and you do not want to get dehydrated.
  5. 5 Bring a lunch if the camp doesn't serve lunch. Also bring a snack if you'd like.
