A Folding Trolley is a Great Way to Carry Your Golf Bag

While there are many things I look forward to with the passing of winter, playing golf on a pleasantly warm spring day ranks right up there at the top. What I do not look forward to though is the constant picking up and putting down of the golf bag. Carrying a golf bag for eighteen holes can leave your back and shoulders really quite sore and, of course, this can have an effect on your overall game. For a while, I started renting a golf cart and that certainly helped to cut down on the fatigue towards the end of my round. But, I felt by not walking the course, I was missing out on the leisurely pace to which I was accustom. Plus, I did not feel like I was getting all the health benefits that walking provides. After a little research, I was able to arrive at a good compromise by utilizing a folding trolley for my golf bag.

The great thing about these golf trolleys is that you can choose from a variety of different variations depending on your budget or your preference. Basically though, golf bag trolleys are available in the standard push/pull models or models powered by an electric motor. The standard trolleys are usually light weight, with rubber wheels and a folding handle that allow you to strap on your golf bag and pull or push it wherever you need it to be. Once your round is complete, the trolley handle folds down and makes for a compact package that can easily be stored away in most vehicles.

If your budget is not an issue and you desire the ultimate in convenience, consider the purchase of an electric bag trolley. While not as compact and easily stored away as their standard counterparts, the electric model will allow you to save all your energy for that long drive on the Par 5 eighteenth hole that will make or break your round. If you really want to go all out, get a remote control with your electric trolley and you will not even have to point the bag in the direction you want it go. Just maneuver it with the remote. One thing to pay close attention to though when you purchase an electric trolley is battery life. Make sure the battery states you will be able to play more than one round on a single charge. These electric models are too heavy to be trying to move along the golf course manually.

I think that you will find a folding trolley to be a great choice for transporting your golf bag around the course. It allows you all the benefits of walking the course with none of the shoulder and back strain associated with carrying your bag. Not only will you feel less fatigued after a round of golf, but being less fatigued might even cut a few strokes off your game since you will conserve a little more energy for the latter holes of your round.
