Here are some ideas on how to save money on golf, since it isan expensive sport. Since golfers tend to be addicted to the game, saving money can help you play more golf without breaking the bank.

* Use Daily Deal Sites: Save money by using daily deal sites like Groupon or Living Social to buy rounds of golf, buckets of balls and golf equipment. Daily deal sites often feature deals for golfers at big discounts.

* Take Advantage of Lunch Deals at Driving Ranges: Driving ranges have deals for golfers who hit the range at lunch during the week. Many times these deals include lunch and a bucket of balls. This is a great way to get a lot of practice at the driving range.

*Clickitgolf.com: Search on clickitgolf.com for deals on golf courses in your area or for areas where you plan on traveling. They have deals where you can buy multiple rounds at a time and save money. Depending on the way they word the deal, you can buy 4 rounds of golf and use it for your foursome.

*Play Twilight Golf: Most golf courses have deals for golfers willing to play after 4 or 5pm. Playing golf at non peak times can help you save money on rounds.

*Buy Used Golf Equipment: Stores like Golfsmith and Dicks have used equipment for sale, and you can save money by buying quality clubs that are gently used.

*Call the Golf Course and Ask to Head Out Early: Call the golf course and find out when their earliest tee time is. If the earliest tee time is 5am, offer to head out at 4:40 am for a cheaper rate. If the golf course is struggling, they might welcome extra income for a non-ideal time.

*Use Flash Sale Sites: Use flash sale sites to buy golf equipment or golf trips. Rue La La, a flash sale site, periodically has golf clothing and equipment for sale at big discounts. Gilt, another flash sale site, has golf trips packages for sale at discounts.

* Take Golf Trips during Off Peak Times: Golf courses offer discounts for playing during the winter or during less popular times to play. If there are courses you would love to play, but they are very expensive, do some research and plan a time to go when the prices are less to save money.

I hope these tips help you save money on golfing. Happy Golfing!
