Dual Cavity Design Titleist 2010 AP1 Irons Provide Improved Feel

The aluminum and elastomer face combined with a larger rear cavity produce a hotter and more active face, leading to longer distance as well. Another improvement that's certainly worth noting is the introduction of the new thermoplastic urethane arms (TPU arms, for short) that are visible in the back, behind the face. The new TPU arms and ring around the cavity are a considerable piece to the puzzle of improving the feel of both the AP1 and AP2 as well also supplied on cheap golf club sets.

They have also improved the playability and overall performance, by increasing the moment of inertia for greater distance and made them more forgiving for those off-center hits. The Titlist 2010 AP1 Iron also features much improved short irons with consumer feedback dictating a shorter clubhead and a thinner topline meaning Titleist's classic good looks are present throughout the set. Dual hosel lengths throughout the set make the launch trajectory very consistent with the shorter hosels making the long irons much easier to hit.
