Cheap Golf Clubs

Golf is in no way a cheap hobby to pick up, but there are definitely ways to cut corners to make it an affordable one.  If you are looking to play every weekend, or a couple times a month, you are looking at a hefty bill to pick up.  One way to save a few dollars is to get a set of cheap golf clubs.  Cheap does not always have to mean bad, and in terms of golf clubs you can absolutely get some nice ones without taking out a second mortgage. 

One way to go about getting cheap golf clubs is to buy used ones.  You can get used clubs from your big name stores, or you can go on to ebay or craigslist to find a set.  Now, if you decided to go this route I would suggest that you take a look at the clubs before purchasing them.  If you go through a site like craigslist and the seller is nearby, you should go take a look.  If you are going through ebay or another site like this, you will want to buy from someone who has a good seller rating and has put up some nice pictures of the clubs.  Used clubs through an online store will have been cleaned and made sure they are in good condition, so if you are feeling uncertain about using ebay, you should go to a retailer.  Used clubs are a good way to stay cheap, but if you are concerned about your score on the course, they might not be the best solution.

There are some brands out there that are not only good clubs, but are cheap.  Brands like Adams, Top Flight, Tour Edge, and Wilson all put out sets of clubs that you can get for under four hundred dollars.  You know what else you can get for four hundred dollars?  A top of the line driver.  So for the price of a fancy driver you can purchase a brand new set of golf clubs.  Most of these sets come with between 8 and 12 clubs. 

There are people who think you need the best clubs to play great golf, and there are other people, like me, who think you just need to know how to swing a golf club to play great golf.  So if you do not have the extra money to spend on expensive clubs then get a cheap set and get out on the course where you belong.
