Grand Cayman Scuba Diving Vacations

2016/7/26 14:16:56

The Grand Cayman is the biggest island of all three Cayman Islands. Its capital is George Town and it is home to some of the most beautiful dive spots and beaches in the world. It is a relatively small island which has no fresh water sources. Grand Cayman scuba diving spots are among the most beautiful and rich with marine life. There are around 250 Grand Cayman scuba diving spots in this small island and its surrounding which equates to many Grand Cayman scuba diving resorts and dive shops as well.

The Grand Cayman scuba diving experience is magnified by visibility that reaches up to almost a hundred feet which is a testimony to the clarity of the seas here. The waters are also quite warm and offer enjoyable diving. The marine life in the area is varied and some are very interesting. The marine life here tolerate humans pretty well but it is always better to be safe than sorry. Rays abound in the shallow waters of some parts of the island and dolphins also frolic near the shore.

Top Grand Cayman Scuba Diving Spots

The Royal Palm Ledge is one of the better Grand Cayman scuba diving spots. There are many marine animals for divers to interact with and the visibility is amazing. The coral formation here is also notable and can reach up to several feet high and several feet large.

Bonnie’s Arch is one of the best Grand Cayman scuba diving spots. This dive spot has a wall where many marine animals live their daily lives and there are also some sea turtles here. The most notable coral formation is the arch which is probably why the dive spot is so called.

There are also several Grand Cayman scuba diving spots which are amazing and have clear waters which extend to around 60 to 80 feet. The ecosystems in these walls are varied and very interesting to watch. There are two basic wall dive spots in the island and these vary according to their depth. As usual, most of the marine life is tolerant of divers and they are not as easily spooked as other marine animals in other dive areas in the world.

The Grand Cayman scuba diving experience creates great memories of this blissful paradise. For diving enthusiasts, this is one of the premier diving spots in the world that is basically free of pollution and the damage that it brings.
