Ok so i wanna kno how fast and strong i should be as a 10th grade WR im just shy of 6'2". so I'm wondering how fast i should be running a 40, and how many times i should be benching 185 or 225, and the reason im asking you instead of my coach is becuase i move alot and i dont get the same answers. And how should i train to get faster and stronger, if you have any training programs you can send me please do.

Answer
Dear Michael,

You need to get your PARENTS, your COACH, and your DOCTOR involved.

1. GET YOUR PARENT扴 PERMISION AND ASK FOR THEIR ADVICE. THEY CAN BE OF GREAT HELP TO YOU.

2. TALK TO YOUR COACH HE IS THERE TO HELP YOU. HE WANTS YOU TO SUCCEED. HE CAN GET YOU STARTED ON THE RIGHT PROGRAM.

3. BEFORE YOU START ANY PROGRAM MAKE SURE YOU GET YOUR PARENT扴 PERMISION AND A DOCTOR扴 OKAY. REMEMBER ONLY A DOCTOR CAN TELL YOU IF THE PROGRAM YOU ARE STARTING IS TOO MUCH FOR YOU. IT IS BETTER TO BE SAFE THAN TO BE SORRY!!!!!!!!!!

I want you to know something about football.
You do not have to be fast. You do not have to be strong. You do not have to be tall. What you need, to play wide receiver, is the ablity to get open and to catch the ball when the quarterback throws it to you.

The N.F.L. has had slow guys, skinny guys, small guys, and fat guys play wide receiver. The one thing they all had imcommon was that could all get open and catch the ball when thrown to them.

If I were you, I would work on getting opened and catching the ball with two hands. The N.F.L. has some great books and videos that teach the skills needed to play football. Why don't you give one of them a try.

Good Luck, Your friend, Coach Louis
