how to play

Hi, my name is Cassie. I'm 14 and in the 8th grade.  I've always liked playing football with my friends and family but I want to really know how to play.  I want to try out for football next year and I want to show the guys I can play.  I'm already stronger than most of them and I'm known to take down some of the bigger guys, I just want to know how to play the right way.  You think you can help me out.

Good for you Cassie.  here are a few resources to help make you a student of the game.

This is the NFL for Kids site.  It looks goofy and kidsey and cutesy, but there is actually some decent information if you read the individual pages on positions:  http://www.playfootball.com/be_a_player/

Also maybe try a football instruction video.  This is a good one:

Lastly, maybe next summer try attending a local youth football camp.  That is a great chance to learn.
