Right hand vs left handed

2016/7/16 9:37:30

Question
I am a left handed shot and my dominant hand is my right hand. My delima is that I dislocated my left shoulder and wondering about switching hands as I think there is more rotation with the bottom hand thus putting more onus on the left shoulder. Just wanted  your thoughts about that.

Answer
Hi Paul...  well according to my understanding - shooting left with your dominant hand benign right is the "better" way.  That being said - there are many players doing quite well playing the opposite.

It's all about practice and being able and willing to adapt!

Playing with 75%-80% strength in your dominant may not be as good as 100% of your non-dominant hand.

Your best bet is to try it...  Give it a chance.  Practice as often as you can...  if you can feel comfortable and confident with it - that would be over half the battle right there!

Hope this helps!

Good luck!
