Hi. I have asked you a question before and thanks for giving me very helpful advice.

My question is I am thinking about taking Sports Protien to help build muscle and loose fat, to help me bulk up a bit. Also do you have any good strengh excercises with weights specific for the position of hooker.

I am 5'8 and 14stone and play hooker if im honest i do have a bit of a belly but this is being rectified with hard CV sessions and a good diet.

I alsmost never prescribe fitness or weight routines / answers on this site. I always suggest joining a reputable gym or working with a good personal trainer. You need a customized work out and diet based on your body and current fitness. Any person who just gives you a work out or diet without first doing a full physical and fitness, flexability and strength test is just guessing at best and setting you up for failure and injury at worst.

Get with a trainer who is professionally qualified and if that is too expensive then join an athletics club or find a friend or family member who is in the training business. Also try the local univercity or college for a senior student in the physical education school.


Interveiw a few trainers asking what their qualifications are and experience. Ask them to show results and ask what their process is. No process = no plan. No plan is like planning to fail.
