MLB Rules: Can Infielders Move During a Pitch?

Question
as a pitch is being thrown can an infielder be moving side to side ?
As in moving from the hole at shortstop to up the middle as the pitch is thrown thus distracting the batter?

Answer
Hi Matt,

"a fielder shall not take a position in the batter's line of vision w/ deliberate unsportmanlike intent or act in a manner to distract the batter."

I don't think in the case you sited that either apply, that the defense does has a right to move during the pitch and I don't think you're ever going to get that call from an umpire that knows the game.

If they were streaking towards hp screaming like a banshee you probably would have a case.
