Understanding the Strike Zone in ASA Slow Pitch Softball
Question
Can you clarify the strike zone for me in ASA slow pitch? Also, should a pitch be determined by where it crosses the plate? Or where it crosses the body?
Answer
Hi Marie
here's the def, pretty easy to understand imo, so by def crossing both the plate and batter's body in a natural batting.....plate are a requirement. Standing in front of or behind the plate does not change the sz.
STRIKE ZONE: That space over any part of home plate, when a batter assumes a natural batting stance adjacent to home plate, between the batter抯,
B. (Slow Pitch) Back shoulder and the front knee.
