Softball Fastpitch: Rules on Arm Braces for Pitchers - ASA

Question
In ASA governed fastpitch softball can a pithcer wear a flexible arm brace while pitching in a game. Can you site the rule either way.

I have an older rule book but basically under rule 6 section 5 it states the pitcher shall not wear tape on the fingers, a batting glove (on the pitching hand), a sweatband, bracelet, or similar type item on the wrist or forearm if the pitching arm.

With that said I have seen pitchers wear a dark flexible elbow brace without penalty.
