ASA Softball: Understanding Infield Ground Ball Poaching Rules

we play coed asa softball. ? is is there poaching on a ground ball in the infield. here is the play ground ball to 3rd base male playin 3rd and short female playin 2nd and 1st. 3rd baseman throws the ball to the 2nd base bag female there but male take the throw from 3rd. umpire calls runner at 2nd safe based on the outfield paoching rule. my feeling its strategy!

There is no such rule in ASA. However some local rules do add this rule to "let the girls play" so to speak. In straight up ASA as long as you play balanced (alternate males and females in positions) who takes what ball from where doesn't matter.
