Volleyball Spiking: Joint Movements, Prime Movers & Synergists
Question
Hi there,
Please can you tell me what joint actions are involved when you perform a spiking movement in volleyball? From your run-up to your take off(jump) to the swinging action of your arms to you landing ... and furthermore could you please advise as to which are your prime movers and synergists involved as well?
Regards,
Rijesh
Answer
Good afternoon Rijesh!
Welcome to www.allexperts.com.
Unfortunately, I'm not a professional in what you're asking. Myself, I learned how to do a proper spike approach in the 1980's by watching video of Olympic men & women! And I will offer you the same deal. :) If you will email me at coachhouser@yahoo.com, I can attach to an email a wonderful spike approach that both men and women can copy. This offers goes for any read of www.allexperts.com.
If you have other questions, please follow up, or email me at the address above.
I have you have some time to visit us at www.coachhouser.com. My club team just finished our final tournament of the season yesterday. We won 32 of our final 34 sets, winning one 28-team tournament, and finished 3rd in the other 42-team tournament. It's been a blast!
