Elementary Volleyball Net Height: USAV Guidelines & Age-Specific Standards
Question
I would like to know what the net height is for elementary students. I would like to set up a place for my daughter (4th grade) to practice at home.
Answer
Good morning Alice and welcome to www.allexperts.com! It's great to hear from you this morning.
According to the USAV rule book, kids 10 and under should play on a net with height 6'6" (1.98 meters). 11/12 year olds should play at 7'0" (2.13 meters). Then from the age of 13 through 44, the height of the net is 7'4" and one-quarter inches (2.24 meters)
I hope that you have a great July 4th weekend. My wife and I are spending it at Wintergreen Resort in the mountains of Virginia, where she is shopping and sipping wine, while I'm preparing for site camp #3. haha. It's a great deal! If my staff can do anything for your child's team, please contact me at coachhouser@yahoo.com. You'll see all the info about our site camps at www.coachhouser.com.
Have a great day!
