Foot Contacts? More Questions

Question
I know you have already answered this question, and pretty well I might add. However, one thing that is still unclear to me. If you do a foot dig does your foot have to remain in contact with the floor, or can you actually do a bit of a "soccer kick" with your foot off the ground? Also, if you do a foot dig, can it go over the net or do you have to make another play on it before it goes over.

Thanks for your time.

Answer
Good afternoon and welcome to www.allexperts.com!  I hope that you're having a great holiday weekend.  My wife & I are at Wintergreen Resort in Virginia for the weekend.  What a view!  Incredible!

The answers to your questions are here:
a) Can you foot be off the ground?  As far as I know, yet.  As long as a referee doesn't consider it a lift, you're fine.
b) Can it go over the net on that contact?  I'm sure of it. I see no reason why not.
c) Does another player have to touch it?  Not that I know of. Going over on the 1st hit should be completely legal.

Again, have a great weekend!  And please stop by www.coachhouser.com.  Three site camps have been completed, and 6 more will occur before the summer is finished.  I can't WAIT!!
