klamath river fishing

we got skunked. saw fish. used what locals advised(pixies).we are expirienced Alaska fishermen. Used the entire tackle box. We are going back. What do we use to catch the Klamath Salmon, Coho and King or steelhead. What technique do you advise. Thanks, Stumped.

Hi,

Their tactics are a little different than ours here in the Midwest.  That is a huge river that is fished with drift and jet boats.

Drifting spawn (Roe) is hard to beat nearly anywhere.  You may use floats, or lead rigs along the bottom like slinkies.  Plugs and hardware I'm sure would work at times, but if you are having trouble, try some roe.
