Identifying the Weight of an Edgar Sealey Rainbow Fly Rod - Expert Advice

I have an e.s.fly rod with two top sections but no indication of they are rated at.e.g.7/8 weight.Any ideas?thanks a.b.

Hi Alan,

I am not the collector on this site.  Direct this to Joe Douglas in this category.  He will know something about it.

As for the weight, it will be trial and error.  Try a couple lines on it and see what feels right.  Or take it to the local fly shop and show it to an expert.  I bet they will guess it within one weight by just false casting it a little.
