LL Bean Fiberglass Rod Fighting Butt Replacement Options

Question
I picked up a mint LL Bean fiberglass rod. All it is missing is the fighting butt. It has an aluminum butt with a fighting but ready short tube/hole, maybe a 1/4 inch long. Can I get soem sort of adapter so I can use a newer fighting butt or do I need to search for the actual vintage replacement? Thanks! BP

I would think you could use a newer fighting butt,but  measure the details.
I would ask LL bean , surely they have a customer service phone number , on the Internet.
