fly fishing gear

I recently acquired some fly fishing tackle, I have no experience with fly fishing gear. I would like to know if you could tell me the value of these rods and reels?

Hi Leroy,

Yes, I can certainly help you with the value of the rods.  And, I can probably help with the reels as well.  I have more expertise with vintage rods than with reels, but do have some reference material on reels.  I'm certainly happy to do what I can to help.

You need to provide some basic data for each item:

1. rod length
2. number of rod sections
3. rod material (wood, bamboo, steel, fiberglass, graphite) if you know
4. brand name if known
5. model name or number, if any
6. any writing, decals or stamping on the rod or components
7. is an original rod bag present?
8. is an original rod tube present?
9. if you have or can take photos of the rod(s) it will help

10. reel size
11. reel brand name
12. reel model name or number
13. any writing, decals, engraving or stamping on the reel
14. is original reel box present?

You can provide these data in responses to this question/answer or, you can provide them directly to me via email at [email protected] and I'll review them for you.

I may or may not need additional data.  If I do, I'll ask more detailed questions about the rod or reel in question.
