Orvis Fly-and-Spin Rod Value: Identification & Estimate

Question
I have a yellow in color, I think fiberglass, orvis rod with original tube.  On tube it says Eddie Bauer Special and Orvis HCF(7), it's 4 pieces.  On rod it says Fly-and-Spin 7ft. 31/4oz. Line HCF(7) Made for Eddie Bauer by Orvis.  This rod looks brand new.  Any idea on value?

Answer
Jon,

Eddie Bauer is a clothing store but at one time sold sporting goods from  1920-1939. I believe Eddie invented the quilted  down-filled jacket, patented in 1949 as 'The Skyliner'.

He had some renown and Orvis put his name on a rod in the 50s-70s.

Spin / fly switcheroos are a novelty but not collected much. Strike 2 - not bamboo.

Price book :
Antique & Collectible  Fishing Rods: Identification & Value Guide Homel, Dan. 1997 #2nd edition 2000# add about 30% for age of book.

Homel doesn't mention the specific Eddie Bauer rod, nor is it in:
Bamboo Rod Restoration Handbook by Michael Sinclair
Classic & Antique Fly-Fishing Tackle: A Guide for Collectors & Anglers by A.J. Campbell

Homel gives the Orvis "Fullflex " fiberglass fly/spin pack rod 7' , with an extra tip, 4 sections the  value of  $12, 35 and $70 for poor, good, excellent condition respectively. Yours is earlier and might be worth as much as $40 more.
