Harnell Rod & Wards Precision Fly Reel Value - Appraisal & Information

I have a harnell 640 rod and was wondering its value if possible. Also a Wards precision fly reel no 6832. Thanks

Hello Todd,

Harnell was one of the first companies to make rods out of fiberglass.  I believe they specialized in salt water fly rods.  Your rod most likely dates from the 50's or 60's.  These rods were regarded as high quality.  I would say in good condition your rod would be worth around $65.  

As for your wards fly reel, they don't have much value but you may be able to get around $20 for it.
