Ed hunter approned fly rod

Question
If this Ed Hunter  fly rod was made by Phillipson ? it resembles
a Phillipson the way that it is rapped. I was told it was made by
pHILLIPSON AS A PRIVATE LABLE ROD MY QUESTION IS IS IT AN IMPREGNATED ROD.

I do not know what 'approned ' means. Rods are wrapped not rapped. I am pretty sure hip-hop was not around when this rod was made in the 50s.

(and there is no need to shout, I am old but the hearing still works , all caps :) )

I would have to hold it in my hands to be sure.

If it is impregnated it will be closer to 5 oz than 1 , weigh it and
