heddon flyrods

Question
I was given a Heddon 8103 flyrod,7 1/2' long.I was wondering what it would be worth?

Answer
Hi Ben,

The fiberglass rods don't command the prices that bamboo rods do, but the Heddon Hedliner rod is a nice one.  Age is probably from the 1960s.  Value depends on condition and in Good-Very Good condition this one would be in the $25-$50 range; in Excellent-Mint condition in the $50-$70 range.

Shorter fly rods are typically more desirable than longer fly rods so you should have no trouble selling this one.

Thanks,  Joe
