I have a South Bend #47. Can you please tell me the year it was made and how much it is worth in excellent condition?

Hi Lou,

A South Bend #47 would be valued around $175 in Excellent-Mint condition.  In Good-Very Good condition the value would be around $100 or so.  Vintage is 1935-1950 time period.

Excellent condition typically includes original finish in fine condition; no missing rod sections or components; no breaks, splits dirt or wear showing; evidence of minimal or no use; and the original bag and tube in like new condition with all tags and labels intact.
