fishing a frog

Question
what size line is best for fishing a frog

Answer
I'm gonna tell you a secret.  When I fish frogs over lily pads, around the edges of cover, or off of banks I will only use 12 lb. Stren mono on spinning gear.  Otherwise I use 30 lb. Stren SuperBraid( but the pro's all say 60-80 lb. SpiderWire or PowerPro.  I also like to deadstick frogs around stumps and docks and basically any other vertical structure.  What I will do is cast and count to thirty, then give it 8-10 very short twitches( It should only move about two feet), then pause for 3 seconds, then twitch it about 8" to 1', and repeat. But when it's hot outside and they like it fast work it all the way to the side of the boat.  I can't count how many times I've landed 4-8 lb. bass at the boat with a frog.  One time I was actually bank fishing and just to play around I made it look like it was crawling out out the water and a 6 lb. bass swam two feet out of the water onto the shore, grabbed my frog, and turned back to the water.  Look on youtube for a video of a killer whale eating a seal on a beach and that is what it looked like.
