Garcia Conolon Fly Rod #2060 & Case

Hi Joe.  I have a Garcia Conolon Fly Rod #2060 with the original plaid cloth rod sack and aluminum case.  The rod is 6 1/2 foot, 6-7 weight, 2-piece, and it was purchased around 1973.  The case end cap states the rod was specially designed by Charles C. Ritz  The rod was never fished and only used for limited casting practice.  Can you give me an estimate of the rod抯 worth?

Sorry, my information on the Garcia Conolon rods is limited.  I can say that Chalres Ritz designed a line of Conolon rods.

I have no idea what it might be worth.  If I were to guess, I would say $150 plus or minus as much as $50 which doesn't help you all that much.

This is a link to a discussion forum for fiberglass fly rod enthusiasts.  If you were to go there and ask about the rod, you might find someone much more familiar than I am about Conolon.  Forums like this one are open to anyone so sign up and ask your questions.  Be careful, they are also addictive and you can wind up spending too much time talking about fly rods...ha! like that's possible.
