Carp

Question
I know carp will eat almost anything, but what do river carp hit? Its early may and ive spotted carp sunbathing in as little as 6inches of water. I couldn't get them to hit anything. I even tried to hit em in the head with rocks.Haha well what do you think. THANKS

Rocks are not the answer :)
If the fish are on a SPAWN you might as well go home and wait a few weeks,,,they are interested in other things,,,,,
Corn always works well, and believe it or not a little white bread on a hook, so that it floats oftentimes works wonders,,,,
