Heddon Pal rod

Question
Hi there! My father just received a Heddon Pal #130 spinning rod, 6 1/2 ft, new never used, no damage/dings/no paint wear or chips. It is as clean as the day it was made, in the original shipping tube with cloth sleeve and everything. No reel was ever attached to it.

Do you have any idea when it was made and a guess as to the value of it??

Thanks so much for your time!

Answer
Heddon Pal rods run in the $20-$60 range generally, depending on condition. Flyrods command more value than bait caster and spinning rods. Bamboo are more valueable than fiberglass.

Values on fishing collectables are down greatly due to the economy...however, condition helps your rod.

I would need photos to help with age, but mostly likely post WWII thru 60s...
