I need to value an Orvis Flea Bamboo Fly Rod for an estate. It has never been used and is in perfect shape. The serial number is 73302

Orvis made good rods and they are highly valued by collectors.
I used  the Orvis database , Orvis Bamboo Rod Production ~ 1940 to 2008: A Collector's Reference Copyright 2003-2008 James Gregory Reynolds

Number 73302 is not in the database

Value :
Book: Antique & Collectable Fishing Rods: Identification & Value Guide Homel, Dan. 1997 (2nd edition 2000) add about 30% for age of book.

I could give you a better estimate with length of rod and each section as well as number of sections.

Homel gives the 6.5 model 'Orvis Flea'  fly rod without an extra tip, 2 sections the  value of  $125, 300 and $500 for poor, good, excellent condition respectively.
