Hi Garret,

Can you give me some more details about the lake.  Where is it?  Bottom composition?  Forage base?  What other fish are in it?  I'm guessing you have open water right now.  Any idea what the water temps are?

I'll give you some general tips on Bass in cold water.  I'd stick with the base of the deepest steepest shorelines.  I'd be working them very slow with jig and pig, vertical jigging spoons, or drop-shotting with something like a Gulp minnow.  Warm days could bring them up higher and shallower.

There are a lot of variables that could change this like if there were shad roaming the open water.

A little more information could help me.
